eircom selects TKG for fibre demarcation

eircom has selected The Kenton Group as the key sole supplier to deliver and support the RAD ETX fibre demarcation device into Ireland. The partnership of The Kenton Group and RAD provides both the best product to meet the technical needs of eircom and the technical support and logistics from The Kenton Group.

The RAD ETX202 was chosen by eircom after extensive lab tests and trials to deliver symmetric Ethernet services to businesses across Ireland at speeds up to 1Gbps. The ETX202 is a fully featured demarcation device that allows the services to be delivered with high reliability and management.

John O’Sullivan, eircom’s project manager for Ethernet delivery, said: “The RAD solution met all our needs, it’s available in a number of different formats that we need and it’s easy to configure and manage. We think it will be a very successful product within our portfolio of delivery options.”

Steve Sharp, technical sales manager for The Kenton Group, said: “As a long standing supplier to eircom, we are delighted to be working again with eircom on this new project. The combination of technology from RAD and local support and logistics from The Kenton Group works very well to give eircom a high technology solution with lowest possible total cost of ownership.”
