Kenton Research was founded to service and supply BT with built-to-specification products for their telecom operations. Soon after winning this contract, we began manufacturing our own products including bridges, gateways and ancillary voice products.
Set up as a specialist in signalling, Microtel was quickly established as a key technology supplier for multiple national infrastructure projects. The portfolio quickly grew to include many complimentary voice and data gateways, adaptors and more.
Kenton AccessNet (KA) was formed to provide specialist telecommunications solutions and services. An Ofcom licensed operator with a focus on quality. Certifications included ISO9001, 27001, 14001 certifications with services CESG GCN 2-2-4 assured to meet the exacting requirements for Public Sector Networks.
Kenton Data and Voice (KDV) specialises in the supply of solutions that enable routed data, VoIP and application services. From manufacture and support through to deployment, KDV was the birthplace of our current provisioning portal.
Over 20+ years of design and development of bespoke products for carrier, utility and transport sectors. The new unit added a large number of system integrators to its portfolio.
The Kenton Group is created as a leading UK provider of technology and services to government, utilities and the telecoms industry.
(KOFT) provides optical networking and fibre solutions for carriers, service providers, enterprises and public sector organisations.
In 2021 the five business units were brought back under a single brand - The Kenton Group.
