The Kenton Group commences shipments to Carriers and ISPs of the Comtrend VR-3030, which is approved for deployment on BT’s Openreach wires-only FTTC service.
Following BT Openreach’s announcement to cease supplying FTTC modems with new services from March 2016, The Kenton Group is able to offer the Comtrend VR-3030 solution, a fully approved compatible modem. The Kenton Group has commenced shipments to Carriers and Internet Service Providers of the Comtrend VR-3030 for BT’s Openreach wires-only FTTC service.
The VR-3030 is a multi-DSL router that supports both ADSL2+ and VDSL2. The latter is a brand-new standard and technology perfect for triple-play (Video, Voice, and Data) applications. The VR-3030 comes with one 10/100 Base-T Ethernet port.
The VR-3030 is a cost effective solution designed to meet the needs of ISPs and carriers planning on deploying a single DSL device for covering end users in different loop range areas. Deploying VR-3030 is cost effective for ISPs and carriers because deploying a single CPE DSL device with multiple profile support minimises the number of required upgrades.
