EOL: Genexis Pure ED500 Series

Affected Models

The following products are being offered as a Last-Time-Sale, concluding on December 31, 2023:

  • Pure ED500A
  • Pure ED500B

Summary

This document constitutes a written notification of Genexis’ decision to discontinue sales for the Pure ED500-series and all variants thereof. This decision is taken due to decreasing market demand and the availability of more advanced 11ax (WiFi 6) successor products within the Pure series. Genexis has a successor product available for the affected models and will support its customers in the migration to this new product and associated software platforms. This notification means that the Pure ED500-series product will reach its End of Sales state as per the below mentioned dates.

Last Time Sales

New orders for the affected products are accepted until December 31, 2023. Genexis reserves the right to supply alternative products from standard stock availability in the event of a shortfall of discontinued products. Orders received during the Last Time Buy period will be handled in the order in which they are received by Genexis. No products will be secured towards non-committed forecasts.

Last Time Shipment

Deliveries may be scheduled until June 30, 2024. Genexis reserves the right to limit new feature development efforts for the affected product(s) before the Last Time Shipment date.

End of Product Maintenance

Maintenance for the affected products will continue until June 30, 2026.

Genexis will maintain (excluding new feature developments) all units in the field to keep them up and running until the End of Maintenance date. 

Failure-solving actions will be taken. In case repair is not possible, the unit will be exchanged with a successor product, which will deliver similar or newer functionality (if available).

End of Support Life

Support for the affected products will continue until June 30, 2029.

Genexis will support all units in the field for major issues and security fixes only until the End of Support Life date. After the End of Support Life date, an additional Extended Support Life can be offered based on a professional service fee.

Replacement Models

Below are the successor products that are available to replace the current products:

  • Pure ED500A-EU > Pure E600-EU
  • Pure ED500B-EU > Pure E600-EU
  • Pure ED500A-UK > Pure E600-UK

Note: The Pure ED500-series supports xDSL (VDSL2 up to 35b profile) connectivity. This xDSL functionality is not available in the Pure E600.
